A distinctive Fox & Chave silk habotai scarf featuring a colourful design of floral elements in a style reminiscent of that of the middle ages.
Illustrations of flowers in medieval England were typically stylised and symbolic, reflecting the period's artistic conventions and religious themes. These depictions often appeared in illuminated manuscripts, herbal texts, and devotional books.
Flowers were drawn with intricate, yet somewhat simplified forms, emphasising symmetry and pattern over naturalistic accuracy. The colours were vivid, with gold leaf sometimes used to highlight their divine associations.
